The heat is creeping up, the days are getting longer, and summer is finally unfurling its sunshiney glory in Greece. Want to head to Greece this summer but don’t want to be caught in a barrage of thousands of tourists? Head to one of these hidden gems in Greece this summer from our exclusive list.

Far east in the Dodacanese, some of the most hidden and unspoilt islands in the nation are in the Fourni archipelago, a collection of tiny gems visible from Ikaria. Once the enclave of pirates, these now-peaceful islands are centered around the main island of Fourni, its siblings Agios Minas and Thymaina, and 10 tiny islets. Visit the main town of Fourni Korseon and indulge in honey and other goods from the local shops, then head to one of the town’s few cafes to enjoy the local specialty of crayfish.

Stay tuned for the next hidden gem!
