Calling all oenophiles! The Oenorama wine festival is returning to Athens this weekend!
From March 10th-12th, the Zappeion Megaron venue will host Oenorama 2018, the world’s largest annual convention dedicated to Greek wines. Now in its 24th year, Oenorama will host over two hundred wine produces and celebrate one hundred Greek wine varieties.
Highlights include the “Discover Greece” Tasting Square, with around 250 wines ready to be sampled and a display from the Greek Wine Information Bureau. And don’t miss a three-day masterclass in rare wine tasting, featuring orange wine from Santorini and wine prepared by ancient Greek techniques (aged underwater in amphorae).
The convention is open to visitors on March 10th and 11th. One full-entrance ticket is €12 (including a complementary tasting glass). Entrance to the Tasting Plaza is €5. For more information, visit https://www.oenorama.com/18/el/exhibition/rules-regulations
March 12th is reserved only for wine industry professionals, who have free entrance.
Oenorama is the start of Athens Wine Week 2018. Stay tuned for updates on wine happenings in the city!
