Greek food is adored by Greeks and Greece enthusiasts the world over. However, it can occasionally be hard to locate certain delicious, authentic Greek dishes outside of the motherland itself. Thankfully, there are many online safe havens for fellow chompers to order the most authentic Greek sweets, snacks, canned foods, etc., to most places outside of Greece. The following listing includes the big four Athenian Site-approved Greek delis and food sellers to ensure you’ll never have cabinets empty of dolmadakia, honey, tzatziki, or any other Greek favorite ever again!
The Big Four
The Greek Deli (U.K.)
http://www.thegreekdeli.com/shop/
The Greek Deli stocks artisanal products, including olive oils, wines, cheeses, mezedes, ready meals (such as pastitsio and gemista), sweets (such as baklava and kourabiedes), and Greek coffee (Loumidis). They even stock beloved Greek chocolates and cookies such as Lacta, Ion, Sokofreta, and Gemista cookies, as well as an impressive selection of Greek wines. Also on sale are gift boxes, which can either be customized with your favorite products or pre-made (one box includes extra virgin olive oil, two bottles of wine, two jars of olive paste, roasted peppers, honey, chilies, and balsamic vinegar—perfect for sending the best of Greek tastes to a distant beloved!).
This deli is my mother’s favorite, and everyone knows that Greek mamas have great taste!. If you happen to speak to the Greek Deli’s lovely Clio on the phone, tell her that Tatiana sent you!
Hellenic Grocery (U.K.)
https://hellenicgrocery.co.uk/
This store is jam-packed with Greek products of every kind, from the standard cheeses, meats, and canned snacks to pasta and tomatopelte, to homemade soaps and Greek herbs and much, much more. They also have a notable collection of pies and sweets, including nine flavors of kourabie! They also stock baked goods from the beloved Greek bakery chain Terkenlis, including tsoureki (a sweet, fluffy, chewy bread) covered in soft white chocolate and a mixed box containing touloumbakia (zucchini-shaped rolled dough drenched in syrup) among other favorite siropiasta (syrup-drenched sweets).

Greek Internet Market (U.S.)
http://www.greekinternetmarket.com/
This Greek-family-owned site is rife not only with foods, but Greek souvenirs and art pieces as well. Trawl through dazzling evil-eye necklaces, ancient-motif ceramics, komboloi (worry beads), pure wool rugs, Greek novels, cookbooks, music, and even ancient coins. They stock a variety of foods, with pasta, preserves, spices, a wide range of beloved cookies and sweets that have brought joy to many a Greek childhood. You can also find many authentic cheeses, such as feta, kefalotiri (perfect for sprinkling on spaghetti!), and kasseri (a standard for grilled cheese tosts). One of their highlights is an impressive array of gift baskets; you can find baskets stuffed with all the delights of Greek life, including olive oils, pastas, cookies, teas, olive-based beauty products and more.
Don’t pretend you wouldn’t want to receive one of these sweet babies in the mail.
Titan Foods (U.S.)
With a flagship store in Astoria, NY, boasting a grocery, bakery, and ready meals, Titan Foods is a long-established classic in authentic Greek cuisine and imports. Their e-store, on top of stocking baked goods, feta cheese, canned goods, and olive products, is also one of the few places in the US where you can find products that are actually produced and sold in Greece, such as Motion juice, Kalas salt, and Kyknos tomato products. There is also a selection of their non-food products available, such as Greek Orthodox incense, an olive-based hair mask, and even a barbeque grill.
And who did my Mom call when she needed a quick delivery of one hundred pieces of baklava for a wedding in the Hamptons–and it had to be there in twenty-four hours? She just picked up her phone in Athens and dialed Titan Foods in Astoria!

So, if you ever need a last-minute gift for a friend or colleague (*cough*or yourself*cough*), know that you’re covered with tons of luxury or down-to-earth products just a click away!
Stay tuned for more on Greek food and culture in mesmerizing Athens!
